Casey Elise is a talented self taught photographer and video editor, who works to capture the good side of black cats at the West Los Angeles animal shelter. Bought her first DSLR in April 2012, Casey began with shooting botanical gardens and developed a love for macro photography. Los Angeles-based photographer adopted a kitten in December 2014 and, soon after, began volunteering at an animal shelter. She started her “Black Cat Project”. Elise thinks black cats’s less photogenic fur is part of the problem. She uses Nikon D4-800, far superior to any smartphone camera.
Black cats are awesome and the Los Angeles shelters have plenty available for adoption.
