Seph Lawless is a talented pseudonymous American photographer, artist, political activist, and photojournalist, best known for his photos of urban decay and abandoned spaces across the United States. Seph was born in 1978 in Cleveland, Ohio, and briefly raised in Detroit, Michigan. Lawless gained access to the abandoned Disney World park, revealed in a beautiful series of urbex photographs. Disney’s River Country opened as Walt Disney World’s first water park in 1976 and closed in 2001. It’s been abandoned ever since and is strictly out of bounds. Seph offers us a view into this abandoned monument to late 20th-century mass-market leisure.
