Alvaro Ybarra Zavala, Spain, is an independent photographer represented by Reportage by Getty Images. He has worked all over the world, from the Middle East and Africa to South America, Asia and the Balkans, mainly covering war zones but also focusing on other current affairs such as Aids and poverty. His work has appeared in Time magazine, Le Monde and Vanity Fair, amongst many others. Alvaro has already published four books and his work has been exhibited at Visa pour l’Image, and in Spain, China, the UK and the USA. His accolades include two PGB Awards, a POYi and the 2010 Olivier Rebbot Award.
