Architecture Photography by Edmund Sumner

Growing up within a family of architects and designers Edmund Sumner developed a deep-rooted understanding and appreciation of architecture and design. In 1995 he decided to combine his two great passions, that of photography with that of architecture and began to photography buildings intensely.

Through photography, he hopes to promote contemporary architecture to an increasingly vusially sophisticated public. He is based in London but travels regularly to various parts of UK, Europe and Japan in search of interesting architecture. His clients include Bolles Wilson (Germany), Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners, Speirs and Major Lighting Design, Chetwood Associates and Vitra. He is a regular contributor to magazines such as Blueprint, Architectural Review, Architects’ Jornal, Building Desing, Hauser, Casa Brutus and A+U.
