Frank W. Ockenfels 3 is a Los Angeles based photographer who has spent nearly 3 decades photographing musicians, celebrities, corporate heads and everyday people. His editorial work has included covers for Rolling Stone, Esquire, The Hollywood Reporter, GQ, Men’s Health, Newsweek, Wired, Entertainment Weekly, Spin, People and Premiere. Frank’s images have appeared on the pages of such diverse magazines as W, Maxim, Men’s Journal, Popular Mechanics, New York Times Magazine, Lab Magazine, Outside, Playboy and UK Conde Nast Traveler.

Frank has done over 200 album covers and press shoots for both major and independent record labels with musicians such as David Bowie, Neil Diamond, Broken Bells, Willie Nelson, No Doubt, The Strokes, Wilco, Garbage, Rome– a project with Danger Mouse, Jack White, Norah Jones and Daniele Luppi– and most recently Bruce Springsteen and norah jones.

Frank has photographed movie posters including Men in Black 3, The Amazing Spiderman, The Social Network, The Last Airbender, Hellboy 2, Wanted, The Incredible Hulk, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Riddick, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind for studios such as Universal, Paramount, Focus Features, Warner Brothers, Sony and Fox.

He has shot TV advertising campaigns for all the major networks including ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CW and cable channels such as HBO, FX, E!, Showtime and AMC, most notably the last four seasons of Mad Men. In the last year, Frank has shot the advertising for Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels and The Killing for AMC; and for FX, American Horror Story, Sons of Anarchy, Justified, Wilfred, Louie, Brand x, Anger Management, Always Sunny in Philadelphia and the League.

Frank has directed music videos for bands such as Alice in Chains, Blues Travelers, Johnny Lang, the Deftones, Better than Ezra, and Everclear. He has shot commercials for clients such as Nike, Converse, K-Swiss, Canon and the New York Times and on-air promos for the CW, E!, The Style Channel and Comcast.
