Grégoire Alexandre was born in 1972 and studied at the Ecole Nationale de la Photographie, Arles. He came to prominence in the photography section of the Festival International de Mode et de Photographie in 2003 (Villa Noailles, Hyères) and works for the press, including Wallpaper*, Vanity Fair, Esquire UK, Libération, The world of Hermès, GQ Style, Beaux Arts; for the record industry, collaborating with Etienne Daho, Metronomy, Yelle, Bertrand Burgalat, Yann Tiersen; and in advertising for clients such as Westin, Sony, Le Printemps, Louis Vuitton and Absolut.
In 2008, he took part in the group exhibition “Fashion in the mirror” at The Photographers’ Gallery in London. In the same year he was given a solo exhibition, “Was it a car or a cat I saw?”, curated by Christian Lacroix, at the Rencontres d’Arles.
He lives and works in Paris and New York.
