Christian Lutz in an professional Swiss photographer, who born in Switzerland in 1973 and currenlty lives and works in Geneva. Christian graduated from The Ecole Supérieur des Arts et de l’Image “Le75” in Brussels. For his book “Insert Coins”, Lutz spent three years documenting the sad reality of Las Vegas. His photos reveal the post-apocalyptic-like scenes, unveiling the mirage of the American Dream in Las Vegas.
This promise that you can find an alternative route to wealth is very powerful, but it’s an illusion.
“Sometimes I was among them, asking questions,” he says. “Other times, I stepped back and simply observed. Most people didn’t notice me, but many saw my camera as a chance to express themselves because in a way, that’s all they had left.”
Christian Lutz started to follow the tradition of documentary photography before engaging in his own path with a singular distance from reality.
