Jessica Sladek is a Chicago-based photographer specializing in conceptual and narrative-based portraiture. Sometimes literal, sometimes fantastical – her work tends to focus on the interplay between humans and the environment, and a correlating collective experience. Through highly-stylized and calculated scenes, Jess works to reveal the amorphous and sometimes hazy narrative that lies just beneath our everyday awareness.
