Karen Collins was born in Michigan and originally studied French literature at the University of Aix en Provence in South of France. She gravitated into fashion photography after moving to New York in the early 2000’s.

Her collaboration with Ungaro, Paul & Joe, Numero, Pop Magazine and The Face were pivotal moments in her early career. She has worked with numerous international publications: Flair, Stiletto, Tar, Velvet, Telegraph, Stiletto, VS, Vogue, NY Times, ELLE, and advertising clients such as Gucci, Prada, Bergdorf Goodman, Nina Ricci and Barney’s among others.

The short movie “603” for Bruno Magli, her debuts into motion, was presented during 2012 Venice Film Festival. More recently she collaborated with Vs. for a short fashion film starring Helena Christensen.
