Klaus Frahm is a talented architecture and design photographer based in Hamburg, Germany. He was born in 1953 and studied Social Anthropology and Journalism. For his series “The Fourth Wall: Stages”, Klaus captured stunning images of theaters and opera houses from the other side, since 2010. Frahm has been dissecting the stage and in this series, he allows the viewer to see the real space of the theater and stage, showing us ‘a work-space hidden behind the red curtain’ as he describes it. The series first started while Klaus was photographing a theatre for an architect. He documented the elaborate configurations of lights “behind-the-scenes” of Europe’s most famous theaters.
