Mario Dotti is a talented photographer based in Milan, Italy. He shoots a lot of colorful and fine art photography. For his project “Vistamar”, Mario captured the hotels, colour-coordinated chaises and giant umbrellas, food stands, and many people in bathing suits at a busy beach. People like to travel to tropical “Edens”, but there is something reassuring and familiar in spending holidays on domestic shores, on crowded beaches, in highly urbanized city-like locations: recalls everyday’s routine, allows to live into the summer-holiday-dream without the need to change our habits.

Vistamar or “sea view” when translated from Italian, is shot in a seaside location on the Adriatic sea. Up there, light and air are someway feeble and delicate. Climate is a bit cooler, everything is less intense, less “mediterranean”, less contrasty, less violent…
