For more than thirty years Robbie McClaran has been documenting the American people and landscape. His work has been widely published, appearing in virtually every magazine you can think of.
Since the 1970’s Robbie has been making books of his photography and has produced several limited edition artist’s books.
The entire collection of prints from Robbie’s controversial 1997 book, Angry White Men, is in the permanent collection of the University of Oregon, Special Collections Library.
Robbie’s work frequently appears in diverse publications, such as The New York Times Magazine, Time, Smithsonian, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, Runner’s World, Inc., Bloomberg Markets, Forbes, and Reader’s Digest.
His work has been featured in Plazm, Life Magainze – Our Century in Pictures, Photo District News, The Photo Review and ID Design and has been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, American Photography, The
New York Art Director’s Club, Graphis and Communication Arts. Robbie lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Designer / Illustrator Lydia Hess and their two daughters.
