Shaughn Crawford and John DuBois are a Los Angeles based documentary photographers and filmmakers. They document the daily life of a group of American nuns who grow marijuana to create medicines. Their series “Sisters of the Valley”, takes us inside a group of cannabis harvesting nuns who use it to make a natural pain relieving product. Sister Kate and Sister Darcy use the cannabinoids found in the plant to create a variety of products used to treat pain which are now selling out online.

Kate and Darcy said their products include cannabidiol but only traces of tetrahydrocannabinol, the chemical that provides pot’s high. They consider themselves nuns, but are not Catholic, or traditionally religious.
