Thomas Sasse is a talented 26 years old self taught photographer and engineer based in Industriehafen, Magdeburg, Germany. Thomas started photography 10 years ago, he shoots a lot of emotional and full of inventiveness portraits and wedding photography. Sasse shares his story.
When did you first think of becoming a photographer?
10 years ago I began to shoot landscape-photos with a digicam. In 2013, after studying engineering, a completely different non-creative thing, I realized I should shoot people, couples and weddings more often and risk to make a living from that work.
Has wedding always been a major focus of your photography?
How would you describe your style?
If someone is interested in wedding photography, what would you recommend they try doing to get into the field?
Try to gain as much experience as possible as a second shooter or assistant before you handle a wedding day on your own. It is a very responsible job which offers a lot of magic but can be quite tough at times.
